Welcome to Ebenezer Primitive Baptist Church!

Ebenezer is a small congregation of believers in Westover Alabama, a community in Shelby County Alabama. Founded in 1868, our church is one of the most historic church bodies in Shelby County.

What sets Ebenezer apart as a place to worship God?

First, we rejoice in the finished work of Jesus Christ and embrace the doctrine of God’s sovereign grace. Christ said “all the father giveth me shall come to me…”  in John chapter 6. This doctrine gives us hope and peace, understanding that our eternal deliverance is through God’s sovereign grace.

Also, it is our desire to seek God in the form of worship found in the first century as demonstrated on the pages of the Book of Acts. Thus, services are refreshingly simple yet extremely powerful as we sing praises to God, petition God through public prayer, and hear preaching from the Word of God. All services at Ebenezer are family integrated. We learn together as one body in Christ.
